Lunar Eclipse
Yeah I took some photos of the eclipse, am I going to post them? probably not as they are pretty boring. Don’t get me wrong the actual even was amazing, but the 200mm lens doesn’t capture the beauty of the event.

Wellington Point Sunset
So disappoint with the sunrise this morning I went in search of a sunset. And well it was not looking too crash hot just like sunrise. I sat in my car contemplating whether it was worth getting out. The tide was against me again, so I couldn’t head out to King Island.
I did eventually get out, I figure it is more important to keep practising, so I started exploring.

Woddy Point
I went in search of sunrise this morning, and well I should have stayed in bed. It was so disappointing. I believe it was because of the lack of planning on my part the night before. I drove to Brighton (southern side of the Houghton Higway bridge) couldn’t see anything of interest so keep moving onward to Woody Point. It had been a very long time since I had been in that area and I remember there was a jetty in the area. Only to my surprise it had been condemned and closed.
I found a place on the eastern side which I though would be great, only the tide was coming in preventing me from getting to an exact spot. I kept just looking and looking for inspiration knowing there was no longer any time to move to a new location. The clouds were off in the distance and weren’t doing anything spectacular.
I took a full 2gb worth of shots but it looks to me there are no photos worth posting.

Fort Lytton
Ekka Fireworks
So Friday night I went and tried my hand at photographing fireworks, sort of a warm-up for River Fire. I went to that car park near the hospital there were a few photographers already set-up. Even though people before me had done this location and subject before I was hoping to come up with something different than everybody else… but no all the photos I took look boring and lack sizzle. Maybe next year if at all I will attempt to find a unique vantage point.

I decided to spend my day wisely and head out to Cleveland for a sunrise shoot. It took me forever the night before to choose a location, but I think I chose wisely. Here is the best shot from the morning.
Shorncliffe Sunrise
I have been waiting all week to head out and capture another sunrise. It has been a very intense week with work and a web project. I am keen to head out tomorrow for another sunrise shoot down the Gold Coast, but we will see how I am travelling putting the final touches on this web project.
Another 5am rise… but worth it
